2010 Sidewise Award Winners Announced

When Angels Wept by Eric G. Swedin

Congratulations to Eric G. Swedin on taking the 2010 Sidewise Award Long Form for When Angels Wept: A What-If History of the Cuban Missile Crisis. The award was given last night at  Renovation, the 69th World Science Fiction Convention. Though Columbia & Britannia did not claim the prize, we were honoured to be included amongst the nominations this year.

Congratulations are also due to Alan Smale for taking the 2010 Sidewise Award Short Form with “A Clash of Eagles,” a tale of a Roman Legion seeking gold in North America. Congratulations once again to all the nominees and our thanks to the panel for this annual celebration of alternate history, a genre to truly be cherished.
